Description
Shrapnel Works is looking for a 3D Clothing Artist to create an untextured M1941 Parsons field jacket outer shell and skin it directly to the supplied UE5 Manny SK_Mannequin skeleton with 161 bones.
Responsibilities
- Model one M1941 Parsons field jacket outer shell from the supplied reference
- Create one untextured mesh with a maximum of 12,000 triangles
- Skin the jacket to the supplied SK_Mannequin skeleton
- Ensure smooth weighting across spine_01 through spine_03
- Use no more than eight influences per vertex
- Maintain a scale of approximately 180 centimetres
- Orient the mesh to face positive X with the pivot at the origin
- Test deformation using the supplied idle, walk, and jog animations
- Verify the export in an empty Unreal Engine 5 project
- Deliver the FBX and source file
- Name the FBX exactly SK_US_Torso_JacketM1941_A
Required Skills
- Experience creating character clothing for Unreal Engine 5
- Experience binding meshes directly to SK_Mannequin with 161 bones
- Strong skinning and weight-painting skills
- Ability to verify bone count, scale, and deformation in Unreal Engine 5
- Ability to deliver both FBX and source files
- Ability to follow strict technical specifications

- Experience modelling garments from historical references
- Experience optimising clothing for real-time projects
