We are Salmon, Asian fintech start-up. We develop financial products with a focus on innovation and flexibility. We are a team of finance professionals and entrepreneurs backed by world-class investors who have the vision and capabilities to provide more inclusive financial services. We are looking for Scala Developer in Core Banking team. In this role, you will develop reliable and scalable microservices that form the core banking.

It would be great if you could move to Manila (we support relocation process), but we consider candidates who will work remotely as well.

Your future tasks

•Development of an advanced, highload financial core.

•Designing and implementing scalable and efficient solutions.

•Collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance system architecture and performance.

What we expect from candidate

• At least 3 years of software development experience in the JVM environment.
• 2+ years of experience with Scala (no Cats, no ZIO required)
• Track record of working in an agile setup using continuous deployment and delivery.
• Experience and willingness to embrace continuous knowledge-sharing within the team.
• Experience with containerization and container orchestration, with a preference for Docker and Kubernetes in a cloud environment, preferably AWS.

Will be a plus

• Any finance system development experience.
• PostgreSQL skills.
• Streaming SDKs or frameworks usage experience.
• Scalability & optimization scars.
