Job Description
CoinList is a leading crypto financial platform providing token sales, trading, lending, staking, and DeFi access. We’re hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join our Core Team and help scale financial infrastructure powering wallets, custody, and payment systems. This role combines backend engineering with web application development, offering ownership of end-to-end projects in a fast-paced fintech environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and scale financial software systems for custody, money movement, and payments
- Develop and maintain web frontends (React, LiveView) with focus on UX
- Architect and optimize wallet and custody solutions for multiple cryptocurrencies
- Own full project lifecycle from design to deployment and monitoring
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, compliance, and engineering teams
- Conduct code reviews, mentor juniors, and set technical standards
- Improve system performance, reliability, and automation
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional engineering experience
- Proven track record scaling financial systems (fintech, trading, payments, or crypto)
- Security-first approach to financial software development
- Experience building production frontends (React, LiveView, or similar)
- Strong coding fundamentals and product ownership mindset
- Collaborative with designers, detail-oriented
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with distributed systems, microservices
- Familiarity with blockchain protocols, custody, staking
- Background in Elixir, Ruby, Go, TypeScript, or Python
- Experience with payment rails, ledgers, or compliance systems
- Open-source contributions or crypto community involvement
